| Johnson & Johnson comes into contact with Kompass Technology with the aim of optimizing a manufacturing facility in Thailand, in particular the line dedicated to the powder products for Baby Care. Yet the application is not standard, the pressure closure for HDPE containers must be properly oriented so that the dosing holes of powders leave the capping process always perfectly closed. The production need is about 220 bpm. Obviously J&J's requests go beyond the perfect closure system: KTE has necessarily to find special design and layout solutions 1. for a perfect integration of the machine into the existing plant and 2. for a perfect compliance of the machine with the requirements governing J&J's production processes. Reliability, security and cleaning ease are the first requests of J&J; among its further needs: quick changeovers and electronic controls suitable for all the automated systems of the machine. |

| The request is demanding but the opportunity to work for a great brand like Johnson & Johnson cannot be renounced and Kompass Technology does not lack appropriate technical solutions. Our proposal for a capping machine with eight heads with independent control is immediately accepted and the integration into the existing line is perfectly achieved thanks to a perfect solution for the caps transfer from the loading hopper to the capper. Reference systems allow the operator to adjust the machine components during the change-over and the touch screen operator panel provides all the necessary information for each operation required. The software provides, apart from all production information, a daily, weekly and monthly history of all relevant information reported by the machine; it produces an important data collection file which is very useful to analyze the production efficiency of the machine. Also the machine alarms are collected and stored for testing and analysis. Each engine and movement of the machine can be controlled for testing or maintenance independently from the operator panel. The machine, completely covered with stainless steel, ensures the maximum cleanliness. |

| J&J technicians took part to the F.A.T. by our factory in Roverbella (MN). The machine was tested initially evaluating the construction specifications and subsequently simulating the production process. J&J technicians’ immediate request was achieving 100% correct closure at the speed of 220 bpm for at least 30 production minutes and for all formats, with a particular attention for the handling of those containers that couldn't show scratches or light abrasions. The F.A.T. of KTE's machine was successfully completed with 100% efficiency and the congratulations of J&J team. |
